IMPROVISERS VS STAND UP COMEDIANS

There's been a long standing rivalry between Stand Ups and Improvisers, since the beginning of comedy, and it has reached its boiling point. Now, these comedy "types", are being forced to come together to battle for the attention, respect, and love of the audience (YOU!).

In the first half, we've got a lineup of some of Vancouver's best stand ups who have been making the rounds in the dark and dank rooms in Vancouver applying their craft to whoever is will tolerate them. The stand ups, who have honed their jokes until they are perfect, come to the Bloodfeud stage to show you what meticulous hard work and dedication can do.

In the second half, a group of happy-go-lucky and "uppity" improvisers, representing the major Improv hubs of Vancouver, and having done nothing to prepare for the night, hit the stage. Using the hard work of the stand ups as their inspiration, the improvisers will perform a long form set that will show you what training and positive attitudes can do as they make it all up as they go.

Proud Of You Sketch Comedy: Crusin' For a Bruisin'

Have you ever been on a cruise ship? We haven't. But that hasn't stopped us from writing an entire sketch comedy show themed around these noble beasts (nature's gentle giants, if you will).

That's right: on this very special Saturday night event, we're taking our goofs to the high seas. Will the captain be a little sauced? Will family vacation squabbles end in oceanic INTRUIGE? Will we find out who this prescription snorkelling mask belongs to? Better slam some Gravol because you're definitely going to get seasick but from LAUGHTER.

Featuring very special guest Cam McLeod and a surprise stand-up comedian! Plus some improv, too.

Proud Of You is:
Richard Lott
Denea Campbell
Brett Skillen
Marta Wesselhoff
Maarten Bayliss
Stacey McLachlan
and our very special Montreal corespondant Amar Singh

Doors at 8, show at 8:30
Tickets $5 on Eventbrite in advance (save your bucks!), or $7 at the door.

Cheap beer and cider! Or as they call it on cruise ships, "grog!"

Seating is limited, so get there early.
